I have arrived in Italy to glorious winter weather. It is sunny and clear and not too cold…the perfect weather to be out walking.
Ponte a Serraglio looks wonderful.
As soon as I could I headed up to Casa Debbio to see how it has survived the winter…all is well. Casa Debbio is waiting patiently for spring.
There are some signs that spring is not too far away. Daffodils will soon be open.
There are buds on the wisteria.
I can see signs of new life everywhere…I will keep you posted.
I’ve only ever been to Italy in Winter and I have been absolutely in love! Next year I’ll be in Florence in the summer which will be a new experience for sure.

I’m sure we will see some more cold, wet weather before spring truly arrives, but I am certainly enjoying these fine days.

I wish I could say the same for Milan. We had spring all over the place this past weekend and then it whiplashed back into winter. Today was downright depressing.

No doubt the same will happen here, but it is good while it lasts.

The family have all skipped this winter in Italy and have been here in Perth for the summer and for the birth of second child! Our summer has been unusually much cooler than normal. Loving it. Enjoy Spring.
