Summer Storm in Sydney and blue skies over Brisbane

I was in Sydney recently and on a lovely day we walked from my friends’ apartment down to Manly for Sunday lunch. The walk was only short, around fifteen minutes. In no time at all, the sky turned dark and the most amazing storm clouds gathered. Fortunately, I had my camera with me and I was able to record it.

The calm before the storm

Then the clouds gathered and swirled. They looked really menacing showing us all the force of nature.

The first of the storm clouds

The clouds swirled and swirled

The force of nature

We would have been completely drenched but fortunately, we able to get a cab to take us the short distance back to the apartment from where we were able to watch the storm.

A beautiful sunset to follow

We have had lots of heavy rain in Brisbane as well, but there have been a few amazing days with the most glorious skies.
