More Roman skies

Day 2 in Rome brought more blue sky, with little moments of grey…but that is OK too.

The day began at the Trevi Fountain.

The Piazza di Spagna.

Via Babuino.

Piazza del Popolo.

Heading up to Villa Borghese.

From Pincio.

Back to Piazza di Spagna.

Trevi Fountain.

…and here are hundreds of swallows and a tiny moon over Piazza S. Eustachio.

  1. Rome looks magnificent in your images. I love the last one with the swallows flying past the half-moon.

    • The moon disappeared seconds after I took the photo.

  2. thank you loved that slow walk around Rome this morning

    • Walking is the best way to see Rome.

  3. Ahh this brought back so many lovely memories for me! Thank you! 🙂

    • Rome is beautiful right now. There are not too many tourists and the temperature is perfect.

  4. I’m sure you’ve got worms —- can’t u stay in ONE place for five minutes !

    • But Richard, I like travelling.

  5. Thankyou Debra, our recent holiday to Italy is kept fresh and real through your comments and photo’s. Almost feel as if we are there with you! Sorry that we didn’t have a lot of time to chat at the Ponte piazza, things kept us quite busy, got back to Oz very tired! We have a lot of family on both sides of the family there and had too little time. Well there is always next time, so keep the wonderful job that you are doing with your website coming!

    • I look forward to catching up next time.

  6. Did you get to all these places by walking? I’ve found that walking is the best way to see Rome! There are treasures found around every corner. Beautiful photos!

    • Rome is a great city to walk in. It is mostly flat and the distances are not great between fabulous things. I always walk when I am in the city.

  7. Thanks for more wonderful pictures. Makes me wish it were already fall of 2015 when I hope I can return to my favorite city. Appreciated the help of where pictures were taken. I didn’t think of Via Babuino. But I did think to myself that could be the Anglican church.

    • It is the Anglican church. We walked down Via Babuino from Piazza di Spagna to Piazza del Popolo.

  8. Beautiful collection of photos. Love wandering around Rome.

    • Me too. I have been many times, but I find something new every time.

  9. WOW! That last shot is incredible!!! Bravissima!!!

    • It was a lucky shot. The moon disappeared behind a cloud seconds after I took the photo.

  10. Trevi Fountain is gorgeous!!!!!!

    • I love to go there early in the morning before the crowds arrive.

  11. GORGEOUS!!!! The gardens are amazing aren’t they…those umbrella pines…I could get on a train right now…except I can’t. Lucky you and thank you so much for sharing.

    • I love the gardens of the Villa Borghese, a wonderful greenn space in the heart of Rome.

  12. What a lovely couple of days in Rome. The weather looks amazing. So much to see. Great photos.

    • I hope it is as lovely when I go back in December.

  13. Thanks for the memories, Debra. And thanks for looking at your next while looking up the skies snapping pictures. 😉

  14. Wonderful photographs, I felt I was there too… Thank you dear Debra, have a nice day and weekend, love, nia

  15. Absolutely wonderful. Then again, Rome make it easy to enjoy. 🙂 … What a fantastic ending to the show.

  16. There are so many wonderful views if you look at the sky!
