I have been working for the last couple of weeks at the Ekka, short for Brisbane Exhibition, where the country comes to the city.
My job is backstage at the fashion parades. I get to work with the most delightful young models. I take care of the clothes and help to dress the gorgeous things. The changes are very quick and it gets a bit hectic sometimes, but everyone is good natured and our days are fun.
Here are some of the heavenly bodies I look after.
Today was the last day. I will miss them…..until next week when I get to do it all again at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival.
Gorgeous people!

Models are not always encouraged to smile in parades, but this is a fun show and they enjoy doing it.

I don’t really get to photograph the outfits well. You need to be out the front for that.

Is this what you do for a living? Or just sort of a side gig?

I used to be a fashion designer with my own shop, but I gave it up when we bought the house in Italy and now I just work part time behind the scenes at fashion parades. I love working with the models and still have a lot of friends in the industry.

Well seeing that all the ladies are commenting only and dribbling over the young boys…… You ladies should be ashamed of yourselves….
I bet you only help the boys to get dressed Deb…. I was able to dress myself when I was about 4 years old, these kids must be a bit behind? LOL

I am pleased to hear from you Paul….the girls are gorgeous don’t you think? I am happy to marvel at the beauty of these young things, and recall the days when I was young and lovely. Those days are long gone and I am happy with my life, and I am also happy that I get to spend time with the heavenly bodies.
