After a very hot day walking all over Paris it was heavenly to pull up a chair and sit quietly beside the beautiful gardens in the Tuileries, between Place de la Concorde and the Louvre.
It is possible to hire tiny sailboats to set them afloat on the pool in the gardens.
The boats are beautifully made with lovely details on the sails.
We walked further on towards the Louvre.
If you had a mind to you could buy your own Eiffel tower from the helpful sales persons waiting to sell you a tiny piece of Paris.
Keep an eye out for the pretty girls in the garden.
We walked on again towards the Louvre.
Time to find a place for a cool drink.
Okay–sad to say–I’ve never been to Paris. What? You say. I’m outraged myself, even if you aren’t. Goodness, what a gorgeous city!

You must visit Paris. It is, without doubt, the most beautiful city in the world.

Paris is a place that needs to be visited as often as possible.

Standing in a crowded train on the way to work, I shall imagine myself in Paris instead… I wish I could photograph some of my fellow commuters to share, but alas, I don’t dare. The woman with monster teeth, who beat me to the last seat in the carriage is carrying a calico bag with “Paris” written on it.

Oh to be back in Paris! What a perfect day- the sun is shining, the flowers are still in full bloom and you can spend the day wandering. Enjoy!

The weather has cooled a little, thankfully, making my wanderings so much more pleasant.

Ah Paris! One of the world’s greatest. In addition to the photos of the big sights, I love how you take the most ordinary things (like the mini Eiffel Towers) and make them extraordinary in your photos!

Paris is one of my favourite cities, I know I am not alone in this. I will be out pounding the streets again today.

You’ve captured the haze of heat in your pictures, Deb. I felt like I was going on a summer stroll with you, enjoying the beauties Paris offers. I love the cheerful yellow Rudebekas and the purple Salvias, the whole scenes of Summer. I agree with Julie that you make the ordinary extraordinary. Thanks for the stroll, Deb.

John’s favourite, he never misses a walk here when in Paris and then across the rue to Angelina’s for his hot chocolate fix.
