Vito was born at Ponte a Serraglio and grew up here. Years ago he visited Scotland, met an Irish girl, married her and stayed in Scotland where he ran 3 restaurants. He comes home twice a year and we met him the other day at Il Monaco where he entertained us with his tales of earlier times Bagni di Lucca. Isn’t he a handsome devil?

I don’t know about handsome, being a mere male, but he certainly looks as if he has a deal of wisdom and kindness – the latter, I feel, being the most important thing of all in the end.

You are absolutely right.

Can any of those ‘tales of earlier times’ be posted?!? Trust they would be MOST entertaining….oh questi uomini, questi italiani!

I’ll have to ask him to tell us a story for the blog.
