It is time to leave lovely Ponte a Serraglio. I will be back in September, but it is always difficult to say goodbye. Here are some Ponte scenes over the last few weeks.
My little balcony looked great with the spring pansies, now changed for the summer flowers.
The railings need a coat of paint.
The bridge summer flowers are planted.
See you in September.

Your balcony railings have ‘character’! Your photos, as always, are gorgeous. I’ll never tire of seeing the reflections in the river.

Ponte a Serraglio is a beautiful part of the world. I’m pleased we bought our apartment there 21 years ago.

A gorgeous village in any season I remember from my visits to your lovely apartment on Ponte a Serraglio. Yes that pretty balcony with its seasonal pot plants is always much enjoyed by locals and visitors to the village 🇮🇹

Ponte a Serraglio is pretty, especially in spring. I hope my flowers survive the hot summer.

Always a joy to see the village and up into the hills. Great to see the paddlers on the river. Safe travels home.

There is lots of activity on the river these days. It is fun to watch the canoes and rafts.

Debra,
The flowers we saw you planting back in early March – all look amazing as you depart. You create beautiful on the corner of the bridge that is so very admirable. Have a safe trip and we hope to see you September upon your return to Bagni di Lucca.
All the best to you and yours,
David Gebhart

I like doing the flowers on the bridge. I think of it as my front yard. See you in September.

How sad you must be leaving your beautiful apartment in Ponte a Serraglio with such a wonderful outlook. All your balcony flowers & flowers on the bridge creates such a pretty scene. Love all the photos.

I always feel somewhat sad when you announce you are leaving Italy; not sure why, guess it’s ’cause there won’t be photos of your garden, places you’ve visited and/or delicious meals you’ve eaten in some small village getaway. But your charmed Life is to be celebrated; and you so unselfishly share it with us. Safe travels, England and scones ….September is a beautiful time to be in Italy! BTW – those photos of the glistening river, the ‘infiorito’ bridge, overall vista – ever charming and drool worthy!!

It is always difficult to leave Italy and my garden. It is in good hands with Filippo. I like it best in spring when it comes to life after winter. I like planting new things and watching the older plants get better each year.
I am in Marlowe now, a gorgeous town, with some lovely friends.
