We have been back to Saturnia. I think the best time to go there is in late winter or early spring. The weather is cool, but not too cold, perfect for a splash in the warm water. I can’t imagine being there in summer with dozens of other people on a hot day, sitting in that warm water.
If you go early in the morning, or late afternoon, mid week you get the springs almost to yourself and you can select the spot you want. I have a special pool where I can lie with the warm water splashing over my shoulders…perfect.
We stayed in the same place as we did before, Le Cascatelle. It is a short walk to the spring and a short drive to the town where we had dinner at the same place. We know what we like.
See our previous visits here. The first post was on my first visit on a sunny weekend. It is a wonder the crowds didn’t put me off. All other visits have been mid week in cool weather.
In a bit of hot water in Saturnia
Looks calm and relaxing when you’ve chosen to take a healthy soak in the hot springs.

It is a bit of a scramble to get in, but we come equipped with the right shoes and know the best way to get in and out.

I wouldn’t mind a soak in the hot springs after a hard morning work in the garden. I did look up your previous post and the restaurant you mentioned looked inviting. Enjoy your time there.

Saturnia is a fun place to visit. There are lots of interesting places around it too.

Ooh what a cool name for a place! Makes it sound really other worldly 🙂

Yes, it makes it sound devilish. It is far from sinister!
