It is time to make my way back to Australia. I will miss lovely autumn in Bagni di Lucca.
I will miss the stunning drive to Vergemoli.
…our road to Casa Debbio.
And of course I will miss my beautiful house and garden.
We have pomegranates, persimmons and lots of chestnuts this year.
Most of all I will miss the views from Casa Debbio, even the stormy ones.
See you next year Casa Debbio.
I will return in February to winter…I love that too.
Sad for you to leave such beautiful landscapes and your amazing garden but I will be pleased to see you!! Jxx

It must be so sad to leave such a beautiful environment, your house, and Italy. But time will fly and Feb is just around the corner.

The colour of the water changes with the seasons. Sometimes it is bright green. It depends on the light, snow melt and the amount of rain we have had. It is a stunning valley.

I don’t know how you can bear to leave! For me, also knowing your home town in Australia, there is no comparison….. Is it my imagination, or are you spending less time in BdL these days?

I can leave because I know I will return soon and I enjoy my life in Brisbane too. I spend 6 months of the year in each place as I have always done.

Yes, it would appear that way, but I don’t usually talk about the difficulties of managing owning a property in Italy.

It is sad to see the garden settling into winter, but when I come back there will be the joy of watching it spring back to life.
