My spring Pop Up begins on Friday 2nd September and will go until Saturday 10th September at Sarva, 239 Boundary St, West End, Brisbane. I will be open from 9.30 until 3.00 pm every day.
I have been busy sewing cool summer clothes in cotton and linen. I brought white linen in Italy and I have dyed the fabric with indigo. I also gathered some pretty scarves on my last trip and fabric in Helsinki to make cushions.
Take a look…
I hope you will all drop in to say hello.
What talent you have! Everything looks so cheerful! Wish I could be there.

Very interesting. I knew you were from Down Under, but at first when I read “spring,” I really hesitated. Nice work and fun cushion fabric!

As usual everything looks lovely Debra- I wish you all the best! Linen and cotton are the only fabrics I can wear in Brisbane and also in Italy for that matter.
My daughter and I are going back to Italy again at the end of September – a couple of weeks of independent travel up north then joining the lovely Victoria for her Puglia tour. I believe you are also meeting up with her in your region.

Colourful, easy to wear, simply elegant: very chic! Couldn’t you do something like this in Bagni? Pop up shops is a concept which should be developed in the town.

It is possible I suppose, but I am not there in summer when there are more people around.

You must be filled with boundless energy. You seem to be travelling all the time, buying and fixing up and gardening at the big house near Barga, sewing clothes, staffing a store, taking pictures, and blogging – what a pace! A life well-lived.

Bagni di Lucca is a long way from the earthquake area and everyone is OK. I will be back there soon. I’m sure there will be practical things to be done to help the victims.
Good luck with your new knee. We can get of walking in Lucca in spring.

Hi Debra. I have been following your blog for some time. A friend and I are traveling to Brisbane in early November. Any chance of a pop Up at that time?
Thanks!

I know now why you love fabrics 🙂 Loved all of them you are very creative. What is Sarva, is a boutique in Australia, or? I know your Italy, Finland and Australia stops, and should be a great connection in art and travel. Thank you dear Debra, have a nice day and travel, be in safe. Love, nia (Of course I wished to visit too 🙂 )

Sarva is the name of a shop. It belongs to a friend of mine. This is where I do my Pop Ups. We will do one together in December. I collect fabric wherever I go.
