It is time to go back to Australia for a little while. I hate to leave our lovely house in the mountains, but it has to be done.
I will miss my early morning walks through the mist down to the village.
I will miss the waterfalls that have appeared after the heavy rain we have had.
I will miss the ever changing view from the house.
…and the incredible drive down the mountain.
There are compensations of course. I will get to see my family and friends at home and dive into the surf at Main Beach…and I will be back to Casa Debbio in about 6 weeks.
The photographs are beautiful, but they give the feeling of loneliness.

Perhaps it is the winter landscape that makes you think that. I think it is beautiful.

I can only leave because I know I will be going back soon. I was in Helsinki yesterday…minus 14degrees! Going home to the heat won’t be easy.

Great photos which explain very well – particularly tothose who do not know the area – how hard it is to leave and how lovely it is. In any case, 6 weeks it’s not a long time and you will see family and friends. Say hello to Main Beach on my behalf. Look forward to seeing you in the spring.

Knowing when you’ll be back makes your transitions like the phases of the moon – and I’m guessing family, friends and the surf at Main Beach might weigh up against the things you’ll miss! Makes me envious though š
