Beautiful things

One of my favourite shops in Brisbane is Magnolia, a beautiful shop full of the most gorgeous homewares. I love colour and I never go to this shop without wanting to buy at least 15 things.

  1. Ooooh. Lovely.

    • So many lovely things.

  2. Love Magnolia, I always want everything in there as well. They have such excellent taste.

    • They do have good taste…it is hard to resist.

  3. Agree absolutely fab but very expensive , that is if you have a Magnolia habit, Roz

    • Not everything is expensive, I think they have something for everyone there.

  4. Oh, this is great, hope I can visit some day. Simply love the little pink tiger pillow!

    • I love that cushion too!

  5. Hello!!! 🙂

How are you? It’s been an incredibly long time since I last commented on your blog, even though I read most of your updates every time you post something new. I disappeared for a while, had so much happening with travel, life and making new jewelry pieces. I’m back blogging though. Missed it!!! Hope you’re well and that everything is going great in your world. p.s The place in Italy looks a-mazing! xx

    • Hi Dakota,
I had given up on you. I even took you off my blogroll. I will put you back straight away. Welcome back! I look forward to your new posts.

      • Yay! 🙂 Hope you enjoy my upcoming posts. xx

  6. What a beautiful shop Debra! I’ll have to go there…

    • Next time you come to Brisbane you should drop in.

  7. Yes beautiful things sourced from all over the world obviously – Wish I had another house too then would need to buy more pieces – so want that black and white lamp shade – one could almost wear it cos it is so divine.

    • I want the black and white too…I just need a place for it.

  8. bed…cushions…lamp…bunny…oh hang on, teacups! They all look gorgeous!

    • Everything looks great in Magnolia.

  9. One of my favourites too Debra….Robyn and the girls have the best interiors shop in Brissy…and provide the best service too!!! On ya Magnolia!

    • They do a great job.

  10. How delightful to see such colour. Ironically my fave were the children in the billy goat cart. I am curious, were they ribbons on rolls?

    • Robyn has a wonderful collection of colourful ribbons.

  11. O Debra… How wonderful would some of those things look in your house in Italy….? I recommend a container load be sent. What you don’t use you could sell from Jim’s office/shop beneath the apartment!?!

PS. I love the black and white striped pendant light, with pineapple is it????

    • Funny you should pick the black and white….I am really trying to find a place for that at home here. I would love to take a container over to Italy for the new house.

      • O really, how interesting. That light could fill a room all on its own. I love it. Are you heading down for a shop Melbourne way anytime soon? I’d love to see you.

      • I would love to come to Melbourne soon, but I don’t think I will get there before I go back to Italy.

  12. I love shops like this one too! If only I had the money and could decorate my entire house like this! Wouldn’t it be lovely? Sometimes I go into shops like this to just jog my inspiration, on a rainy day or in the midst of winter. We have a dreamy store just down the street. I may have to go take some photos and share! 🙂

    • I would love to fill my Italian house with these things, but it would be a bit difficult to get everything there.

  13. The dog lampshades look comical – love the quirkiness for a sense of fun. This place is like a home-shoppers ‘Aladdin’s Cave’, a real feast for the eyes. Love the unusual zebra wallpaper and the colourful cushions especially the floral one. …and the striped green and white tea cups…and…!!

    • I love that Zebra wallpaper too.

  14. What a fabulous store – love all the bright colours

    Pam Proctor

    • I love bright colours…gorgeous.

  15. A very lovely shop indeed. I especially like the yellow zebra wallpaper and the lovely cups with the Chinese illustrations on them.

    • The cups make great decoration…and you could use them too.

  16. Gorgeous colours. So lively.

    • I love bright colours, so cheerful.

  17. I love virtual shopping trips! This is a great place… 🙂

    • The shop is always full of gorgeous things.

  18. I love little shops like this with everything so artfully displayed. I can see why you always find something to take home.
On the other hand, I’d just rather move into the store. 🙂

    • They have a bed…a good start.

  19. Okay, it’s official. I would go CRAZY in there. What a great assortment of household items. Hope your weekend has gone well.
    Hugs,
    Kathy

    • There are lots of things to love here.

  20. What a gorgeous shop! The colours remind me of Marrimekko 😀

    • Magnolia stocks some Marimekko. The colours fit in well.

  21. Oh the colors!

    • The shop is delightful.

  22. It made me think of Marimekko too. I love the poodle lamps and the little bunny -I’m sure it could be a little pop-up ‘time-out’ bunny for a shopper bordering on losing control:)

    • It would be easy to lose control there.

  23. what a beautiful store so vibrant and luscious, think 15 things is a very conservative number!!:)
    Carla x

    • It would be difficult to choose at all.

  24. You just made me want to go shopping..

    • You could go shopping at Magnolia.
