I love feet! It’s reassuring to see that some feet are not perfect. I often wonder about the long-toed soft boots and shoes from the Medieval and Renaissance times, whether the wearers ever trip over them or have a certain way of walking to avoid that happening?

Those long toed boots must have caused a few problems in their day. People probably had to walk like ducks to avoid tripping.

I love your collections of faces, bottoms and now feet. The one you are missing this time is a perfectly pedicured foot, with glossy red toe nails and a “stiletto” sandal! I guess that finding this will be a real challenge!!!! I’m sure that you can do it, Debra.

At the Palais Garnier opera house in Paris, at the base of the grand staircase, are two life-size statues whose feet dangle tantalizingly towards you as you start the ascent. I’ve heard it’s good luck to touch their toes – it’s certainly impossible to resist!
