Spring fashion in Florence

Spring is really dragging its feet this year. It was 2 degrees here this morning on my balcony. It warmed up when the sun rose a little higher in the sky, but the temperature is not what we would expect for April.

Despite this, spring is alive and well in the shops in Florence. Here is a quick look at some of the lovely things to wear when it does warm up.

  1. I’ll take them all as soon as I lose 100 pounds:)

    • Those Italian know how to do it !!!
      Love the bright colours..

    • I like the bright colours too.

  2. I love the bright colors plus I also like white. Very pleased to see lace as well

    • There is quite a choice the season…very pretty.

  3. Ditto, Heide! Nice to see which colours are being used for the coming Spring and Summer for us, though.
Thank you for the window shop Debra.

    • It is always good to see cheerful spring fashions.

  4. Ohh I love them all!

  5. Nice to see the vibrant orange colours. I recently ordered a pair of shoes in that colour (Fuoco) from the Belgian brand Noe (pronounced Noah) which are made in Italy. I should be receiving them in Brisbane soon. Love the D&G dresses. All the windows look great.

    • Fuoco means fire, great colour.

  6. How nice to see all the colours! They must be fashionable – I’ve been getting flowers in those colours as well! 🙂

    • I am just planting a pink, lilac and white garden below the house. If the goats don’t eat it we will be happy.

  7. Such lovely things – wouldn’t it be lovely to just sweep in and ‘snap’ things up – or maybe I should be sensible and just buy the eyelashes. PS: it’s cold here this morning too – about 15 methinks – freezing – at last!

    • I’m sure you are very pleased to be getting some cool weather after a stinking hot summer.

  8. Loved the D & G shoes – and the bright Max Mara –

    • Dolce & Gabbana are not popular at the moment after their silly comments. They should stick to fashion.

  9. Do ever see people wearing these lovely clothes ? Can anyone afforded them ?

    • People to wear them. Max Mara is not too expensive…and there are lots of people with lots of money.

  10. Lovely bright colours…love the shoes.

    • I’m not so sure about the Prada platforms. I never did like platforms, not the first time and not now.

  11. Something for everyone, I love the lace dress and the bright colours.

    • It is a good mix for the season. I look forward to seeing these clothes on people on the street.

  12. I like the red skirt with the cute top.

    • Some spring sun is all we need now.

  13. A morning at the Max Mara shop please! But, oh dear, don’t tell me winklepicker shoes are in fashion again: just as well I am so used to my comfortable ballet flats here in the country 🙂 !!

    • I like Max Mara too. Their fashion is wearable and beautifully made. Ballet flats will be just fine. Pointed toes can be very uncomfortable.

  14. love it love it love it !!

  15. Loved most of those brands for Spring. Especially my favourite Ermanno Scervino of course – does white every summer to die for. Prada shoes still art pieces I see. Deb next time in Florence could you show us some Roberto Cavalli please. Love those emerald eyed ear rings? Wish I was there with you to see it all.
    Enjoy and thanks for sharing.

    • Roberto’s window is difficult to get without reflection. I will try on my next day in Florence.

  16. Back in the 60’s I had a dress almost identical to the Pucci one. And the pleated skirts and pants! It has been ages, but they keep on coming back. Very colouurful and wearable spring fashion. Looking forward to seeing it personally. Thanks, Debra!

    • My mother had a Pucci dress in the 1960s. I loved it, but then Osti did a copy…not happy.

  17. Such lovely window shopping in Florence! It is lovely to see all the bright colors – in nature as well as in clothing.

    • Roll on spring weather.

  18. I love the gold top with the cream pants – they look casual and comfortable; also the red, yellow and orange sleeveless dress, such vibrant colours.

    • My days of gong sleeveless are well and truly over.

  19. I look forward to this post every Spring. Thank you Deb! The nude colours at Max Mara have caught my eye. What about you?

    • I like the Pucci.

      • Oh yes. Love!

  20. Lots of Tangerine Deb. Love it. Tangerine and navy are my favorite combinations this season. Wish I was there.

    • I love they colour too, but it makes me look a bit sick.

  21. The blush-coloured Max Mara pleated skirt and the jumper that’s with it. Am I allowed a second choice, if so: the striped dress.

  22. I love your fashion posts! The clothes always have such a stylish but quirky quality to them 🙂

  23. I think some stole some items you made. Some definately have your touch. Well, to me anyway.
