Someone to watch over you

Italians are well watched over. There are angels everywhere, keeping an eye on things.

  1. Love this! I tried to play “name that angel,” but gave up halfway through. I will be far more conscious of these guardians in the future. Thanks for posting and Buona Immacolata!

    • I collected the photos in Rome, Florence, Milan, Lucca, Orvieto and a few smaller towns.

  2. Like a good Italian I love someone watching over me !!!
Your photos are works of art. Thanks Debra x

    • There is no shortage of angels keeping watch.

  3. I love those chubby cherubs!

    • They are very cute indeed.

  4. Good collection … but the ending made me laugh!

  5. Reblogged this on Unique Backroad Journeys and commented:
Believers, look up – take courage. The angels are nearer than you think.

  6. As usual Deb, fabulous photos.could you send me Cheri,s email. I can’t seem to find it and wanted to wish her Happy Hanukkah.

  7. Wow, Debra–what a collection you have of these sweet cherubs!!! And where there’s not an angel watching over you, there’s your nosy and (usually) helpful neighbor.

    • How lucky we are to have our neighbours.

  8. I like the fat little man angels. The one holding the green cloth does rather look as if he might have been bullied at angel school.

  9. We need a few angels this side of the globe, don’t you think. So reassuring and so beautiful. Just to know they’re up there… This is a stunning collection Debra. You are amazing!

  10. Love these Debra and SO good to meet you and be in touch. x

    • It was fun meeting you too. I look forward to following your blog.

  11. Maybe that’s why I’ve always loved angels…there are so many in Italy! But, from your pictures, I see they’re not all sweet and pretty;) The one with the giant beard was not exactly what comes to mind when I think of angels!!!! Haha…great post and great theme!

  12. i just want to cover my walls with these angel shots, don’t we just love them so..

    • I love the angels everywhere in Italy. We are surrounded by so many gorgeous things.

  13. Beautiful collection of photos, I love your angels Debra, thankyou!

    • The angels are wonderful aren’t they, even though they are not all beautiful.

  14. I bet you could do a whole coffee table book out of Italian angels! 😮

    • I’m sure that would be quite possible.

  15. Love all the angels looking over everyone. Beautiful!

    • There are many angels in Italy keeping watch.

  16. I love the portly male angels!
