My lovely friend Rosi sent me some photos of the little Christmas market in Bagni di Lucca. I have to say that it looks very cold there right now.

I wish I was there warming my hands by the fire, then I could head across the road to Del Sonno for a delicious wood fired pizza, or some of Jayne’s wonderful saltimbocca.

As well as the Nativity scene on display in the market, there is a display of old presepe from Sicily in the Circolo di Forestieri behind the market.

Love the posts, my husband and I are spending 3 weeks in Italy next October, just in the research stage of booking accommodation in Bagni di Lucca for for 2 weeks. We can’t wait.

One day we also hope to be there for Christmas! But the “grandparents ” would never allow missing the kids opening gifts…some day…
I am thrilled to see kids! My daughter thinks there are NO kids in town therefore she is afraid to come for long periods of time! ha

There are lots of children in Bagni di Lucca, but I don’t often see them out and about either. Perhaps the grandparents would need to go to Bagni di Lucca too.

It is raining here in Brisbane right now. We have a couple of cyclones circling and several beaches will be closed over the next few days because of rough seas, but we do expect this at the is time of the year. Let’s hope we don’t get rain like last year when we had floods in Brisbane.
