The Barberino Outlet is about 25 kilometres north of Florence in Barberino del Mugello. It is easy to find if you are driving. Take the autostrada towards Bologna from Florence, look for the Barberino exit and follow the signs.
There is a bus from Florence which leaves from beside the Santa Maria Novella station. There are 2 services daily at 10.05 am and 2.35pm. The bus returns from Barberino at 1.30pm and 6.00pm.
The shopping is great and there are bargains to be had in very shop. There are 90 shops, including Furla, Ralph Lauren, Puma, Roberto Cavalli, Missoni, Guess, a small Prada shop and several homewares shops. It is very well set up and there are several cafes to help you survive your shopping day.
Most items are marked down by at least 50% and some by much more.
The outlet is open Tuesday to Friday from 10.00am until 8.00pm.
On Saturday and Sunday 10.00am until 9.00pm.
It is closed on Mondays in February, March, April, May and October and November.
It is open on Monday from 2.00pm until 8.00pm in January, June, July, August, September and December.
There is another great outlet south of Florence called simply The Mall. Click here for information.
Thanks Liz I always wanted to know how to get there, Roz

Debra, Thanks for sharing I never knew about these. I had been to others, but now I will go to these too. Are there some near Lucca also? I read about them on something, but wasn’t sure if they were refering to the ones near Florence?
