The Buddy Bears have gathered in Senate Square, Helsinki for several reasons. The Buddy Bears stand together hand in hand in a peaceful circle, promoting tolerance and understanding among different nations, cultures and religions. They also help the UN to raise money to help the children of the world who need assistance. I think they look very stylish in the process.
It was fun to wander about and see how each country represented itself. Anything that promotes tolerance is a good thing.
Cute!
Interesting too.

Those bears must travel the world, because John and I saw them across the road in front of Humboldt University in 2006. I reckon it’s a terrific idea to promote that goodwill. I wonder where else those bears have been?
