I am back in Australia for a few weeks. I have escaped the winter rain in Bagni di Lucca and I am enjoying lovely sunny blue sky days in Brisbane…how lucky am I?
Brisbane is a beautiful city, especially when the sun shines…take a look.
Today the sky was pale blue. This is from our balcony.
My balcony has produced another tiny pineapple.
It is nice to be home in Brisbane for a while.
Thank you to all those who voted for Bella Bagni di Lucca in the Italy Magazine Blog Awards. Because of you Bella Bagni di Lucca won the Best Single Travel Post.
The blue sky is gorgeous.

You are not missing much here. Rainy, cold and miserable almost everywhere in Europe. Enjoy the blue skies and, hopefully, the weather will improve when you come back. You could start exporting some sunshine from Down Under…

There is heavy rain around Lucca. It looks as of there is a moat around the wall right now. I love winter in Bagni di Lucca, but rain day after day gets me down a bit. I am lucky it isn’t too hot here.

Wow. That’s like a shot of vitamin D. Almost too much to bear from here in rain-laden Italy.

I have seen photos of the rain in my area of Italy. I think I am in the right place now.

That beach was created on the old Expo 88 site. It is a big success. I think it is great to have this so close to the city. Thank you for your kind comments.

Such a limpid blue beach right next to downtown? Stunning. Hope to see Australia one day. Thanks for the little glimpses!

The beach was created on the old Expo 88 site and has been a big success. It is a free sandy beach close to the city.

I’m so impressed by your pineapple growing Debra. What’s the taste like?
And so much beautiful blue. The Australian sky is pretty much unmatched isn’t it.

The pineapple that grow on my balcony are delicious. I plant the tops of pineapples I buy and eventually I get little pineapples. Some, like that one, are seriously tiny, but they taste great. There are some serious benefits to summer in Australia.

There is usually a pineapple waiting for me on my return. I don’t think I will be flooding the market any time soon, but it is fun.

Love the clouds. I also take a minute to stare at the sky not particularly for the weather but to see if there’s any conspicuous-looking cloud.
