Passerella

We have a new passerella ( footbridge) across the Lima River in Bagni di Lucca.  It  goes between the car park beside the Villa Fiori and the newly opened casino.

As a side benefit,  the gardens surrounding the Villa Fiori have been spruced up and are now looking wonderful.  The villa was named after Baron Fiori, who was owner in the first half of the 19th century.  Today the villa belongs to the Commune and hopefully something fabulous will happen with this beautiful building.

Four sentry posts have appeared since the cleanup of the gardens.  They were previously covered with vines and undergrowth.  The one beside the passerella looks just like Rapunzel’s tower and is a wonderful addition to the view.

Our little village just gets better and better.
