Winter will officially end next week. Right now things are not looking all that promising. Winter is lingering.
Walking on the lovely Lucca wall lately has offered different scenes.
We had snow recently. Most of it had melted by the time I got there, leaving just a few melting patches.
A few days ago we had some sunshine and a different view on the wall.
The magnolia trees are beginning to flower. Perhaps spring is on the way after all.
I am ready for everything to turn gorgeous green.
The changing seasons are very beautiful with such a contrast from the snow of winter to the new flowers of spring. Stunning photos as always Debra.
Cheers
Robyn

We can’t wait to be a part of it all. The changeover of seasons is always interesting. Not too many sleeps left until we leave✈️

Hopefully, spring will be well and truly there by early May. Looking forward to our return.

I do so love winter landscapes but i equally like the fresh, sticky, lime gteen buds which promise blooming spring:)

As far as the weather is concerned, this winter is atypical and crazy…

Your environs are still lovely, whatever the season. Here in Central Ohio USA, in the borderlands between the East and the Midwest, our last significant snowfall usually comes the first week of April. You can almost mark it on your calendar in advance, unlike most of our very variable weather! 😛

This year is quite different from last year. I am very keen for spring to appear.

Yes, I do hope for green soon and a little warmer in Venice please; I know it’s still too early for warm weather so I’m packing for the layered look!

Beautiful photographs of Lucca! I am so happy to have discovered your blog.
We return to Lucca this summer and it is so nice to see these wintery photos, a season we don’t get to see.

Winter can be lovely in Lucca. It went on a bit long this year and everyone was sick of it. Spring is always welcome.
