We visited beautiful Voyager Estate in Margaret River a few years ago. It is one of the most gorgeous wineries I have ever been to. Wineries of Margaret River We wanted to have lunch there, but it was completely booked out during our stay. I was determined to go there on our recent Western Australia trip so I booked in advance.
Voyager Estate was established in 1978. All of their wines are estate grown and made. They produce world class Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon and are about to be Certified Organic.
The restaurant is gorgeous!
We had the 7 course degustation feast. Every single mouthful was delicious. We arrived at 12.30 and left almost 4 hours later. The service was impeccable and the matching wines were all excellent. It started with snacks and moved through a delicious selection of beautifully presented small dishes, each matched perfected with wine.
Octopus.
Mussels with zucchini.
Venison.
Pork.
Beef.
Pre-dessert, cucumber granita.
Quite possibly the most delicious dessert I have ever eaten. I didn’t want it to end.
We went for a walk though the gardens beside the restaurant. I know how difficult it is to keep a garden looking great in high summer. This one is stunning.
We had a delightful afternoon with lovely friends at Voyager Estate. We will return!
