Stokehouse is a very stylish restaurant beside the river in Brisbane…a perfect place for lunch on a sunny winter Sunday.
The food is modern Australian…and delicious.
The first little treat brought to our table was deep fried, stuffed olives. They disappeared quickly.
The entree is a shared plate, with pork terrrine, crumbed fried bocconcini and something very delicious, but I don’t remember what it was called.
For the main course we ordered barramundi.
And lamb with barley risotto.
A delightful salad came too.
Dessert was lemon tart (look at that crunchy top) with licorice ice cream.
My friend ordered the cheese plate.
Our table was very close to the river…busy with all types of boats.
We walked along the river after lunch.
Winter in Brisbane is just about perfect.
Stokehouse is open every day from midday for lunch and dinner.
