In my garden

I use the term loosely here.  I don’t really have a garden.  We live in an apartment in Brisbane and all we have is a small garden bed filled with a Monstera and some ferns and several pots.  Bugs have eaten all my basil, my parsley is just about finished, so it is looking a bit sad – except for this gorgeous thing which popped up overnight.

so delicate and pretty

they open quite quickly

I love those little orange bits dancing around the edges

I wish they lasted longer

I leave today for Italy.  I am flying via Dubai where I am planning some wadi bashing.  Hopefully there will be photos.  I then have a brief stop in gorgeous Milan, where spring should be in the shop windows, while I freeze looking at them.

I am excited about being in Bagni di Lucca again for a few months. I am hoping for at least one snowfall before spring comes and I am anticipating the arrival of the daffodils, bluebells, magnolias, wisteria etc, etc (some of those on my Italian balcony).  I plan to visit some of my favourite places and discover a few new ones – there will be regular reports. I hope you come along for the ride.
