21st Century – Art in the first decade

21st Century - 18th Dec 2010 - 26th April 2011

This summer 2010 -2011, to mark the end of the first decade of this millenium, GoMA Brisbane presents “21st Century: Art in the First Decade”.  The exhibition occupies the entire Gallery of Modern Art and focuses exclusively on works created between 2000 and 2010.  It showcases more than 200 works and fetures over 140 artists from more than 40 countries.

Luckily, I live near GoMA.  The exhibition opened on the weekend and I went this morning bright and early and waited for the doors to open.  It is school holidays and there were dozens of families lined up with me waiting to rush in.  Take a look and see what you think.
