The first snow around Bagni di Lucca

The first snow has fallen in the mountains around the villages of Bagni di Lucca. How I wish I was there to see it. The autumn has been spectacular this year (see Bella Bagni di Lucca), but now winter is definitely showing its face.

Local photographer, Paul Anthony Davies, has been out and about taking some gorgeous photos of the snow and is happy to share them with us.

  1. Beautiful photos!

    • Yes, thank you Paul.

  2. That big hill rising with the dusting of snow is beautiful…we are used to seeing photos of deep snow, but there’s something very unusual about seeing that almost fragile beginning…the colors are still warm in the picture, and yet you know what’s coming…

    • I love the first dusting of snow on our mountains. I wis I was there.

  3. Deb, what a great photographer is Paul Anthony – you have shared some of his work before. Love those pictures of Bagni di Lucca right now. I have other friends travelling in Europe right now and it seems there is snow everywhere.
I am sure there will be plenty of snow for you on your return in February. For now just enjoy the air con and or the 30 something degree days here.
After all it is summer in Queensland.

    • The heat here in Brisbane hadn’t been too bad…yet. I know it will come and then I can dream about the snow in Bagni di Lucca.
