The years roll on too quickly. I can’t believe Christmas is with us again. This time last year we were in Finnish Lapland enjoying a snowy Christmas.
We visited Santa’s Village in Rovaniemi on the edge of the Arctic Circle and then headed up into Lapland for some dog sledding, cross country skiing, reindeer sledding and skidoo riding. It was an amazing way to spend Christmas.
Inside our cosy cottage we enjoyed gingerbread biscuits made by Jodie and Allan.
They also treated us to Baileys on snow…the perfect Christmas drink. It is easy to make if you have some fresh snow.
This year we will be eating prawns and mangoes…that’s good too.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone.
Thank you for following Bagni di Lucca and Beyond in 2014. Next year promises to be full of new adventures. I hope you will stop by occasionally and say hello.
Buon Natale Debbie and Jim from our small island with no snow this year in Maine to your BIG ISLAND enjoying summer

How lovely to read your post this morning with the snow effect down the page while the humidity builds here. Yes I remember all your lovely photos from when you and Jim went to visit Santa’s village last Christmas
. Anyway Merry Christmas to you both and enjoy the prawns and mango. x

Merry Christmas to you too Debra. I like the sound of Bailey’s on snow although I don’t think I will be making it this Christmas as there is very little prospect of snow here for the holiday.

Hi Debra. Enjoy your prawns & mango. I’m not sure what I’ll be eating here in Bargara Qld. as I’m a guest – woohoo! Thanks for all your posts this year. I read & enjoy every one. No chance of me travelling overseas anymore I’m afraid but I live vicariously through others and think longingly of Tuscany. Wishing you a Merry Christmas & a great 2015.
