Italy Magazine Blogger Awards

I was a bit disappointed that Bagni di Lucca and Beyond didn’t make the shortlist for the awards, even though I know that many of you took the time to nominate the blog…but that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

However, my other blog about Italy, Bella Bagni di Lucca, which concentrates on the beautiful part of Tuscany where I get to spend a fair bit of the year, has been shortlisted in 2 categories…

Best Single Living in Italy Post. This one is about a couple of our lovely Bagni di Lucca people, Emilio Ferrari and his wife Alpha.

The other one is in the Best Single Travel Post and is about Lucchio, one of the high villages in Bagni di Lucca.

Thank you to those who nominated my blogs and to those who have already voted. Voting is open until 8th February and the chosen blogs will be announced on 10th February.

I would love it if you took the time to vote for the 2 posts. It is great to get extra exposure for Bagni di Lucca…one of the reasons I write the blogs.

Click here to go to the site where you can vote.

I am delighted that several of the blogs I follow have also been shortlisted. Take a look at these as well.

Becoming Italian Word by Word

Timeless Italy

Not Just Another Dolce Vita

Over a Tuscan Stove

Nuovastoria

Margie In Italy

Rick’s Rome

Renovating Italy

Florence For Free

I would present all of you with beautiful flowers if I could…but I hope you like these sunny sunflowers.

  1. I was wondering about this!!! Saw the link from Timeless Italy. I questioned why you didn’t make it there. They are so left out. Oh well, you know how well your blog is with WordPress and your followers.

    • At least Bella Bagni di Lucca made it. Who knows what the criteria is. I am pleased that Bagni di Lucca got a mention. I hope you will vote for the 2 posts…if you like them of course.

      • I just vetoed … *Ehem* … For you on those two categories. I would make a link on my blog so my reader would be aware as well but I think I read that voting is ending soon?

      • Ooopss… Voted … 😆

  2. Thank you Rommel! The voting ends 8th Feb.

  3. Good luck just voted

    • Thank you for doing that.

  4. Congratulations on the nominations! I hope that you will win this time!

    • Thank you for you continued support.

  5. Congratulations to you on the short-list posts. I’m going to vote right now!

    Hugs from Ecuador,
    Kathy

    • Thank you Kathy, you are very kind.

  6. If it helps, and it probably does not, my blog did not get shortlisted either! However, I have voted for your ‘Best Single Travel post’ and the very best of luck x

    • There are quite a few blogs I know that weren’t short listed. I don’t understand why.

  7. In my opinion it’s a question of demographics. Your content is wonderful, but you’re disadvantaged over those of us writing in Rome, Florence, etc. based on the size of the potential audience. Good luck…and thank you very much for mentioning my blog!

    • Bella Bagni di Lucca has less than one quarter of the readership of my other blog, which covers all of Italy, so that can’t be it. Anyway, not to worry, at least one of them made it.

  8. I voted for your blog of course. yours is a beautiful site. I like the beautiful photos for the countryside and the magnificent food. keep up the great work you do. Your the winner to me.

    • Thank you George. We will see you in Bagni di Lucca soon.

  9. I have voted -of course I have – think your blog is brilliant especially for those of us who don’t get back there every year – it keeps it fresh and beautiful in our minds. Congrats for the nominations and best wishes for the final announcement. x
