My day started well in Sydney. The sky was blue when I headed out from my hotel in Potts Point. I walked to the end of the point for a view of the city across the top of the Woolloomooloo wharf.
The sun was still shining when I walked in the park along the point and saw the gorgeous banksia and agapanthus growing, and the birds were singing.
In a flash, clouds rolled in and the day changed.
I had hoped to show you the beautiful harbour, or the walk from Bronte Beach to Tamarama, but the weather conspired against me.
We went to Bronte anyway, but it wasn’t looking its best.
A strong wind sprang up and any thoughts of a day by the water were dashed, so I decided to walk around the inner city suburbs of Paddington and Woollahra to show you the beautiful old terrace houses.
The terrace houses in Sydney were built in the Victorian and Edwardian era to cater for the population boom caused by the gold rushes in the 1850s.
Come for a walk around this gorgeous area and see the lovely houses. It is a bit like walking is some of the villages in Italy…just a bit.
I find green doors everywhere.
The wind was so strong the water from this fountain was horizontal at times.
Iron lace is one of the features on these houses. I think the balconies look beautiful.

I think the next one looked like a doll’s house. It needs a bit of love.
There are some beautiful tiny gardens.
Some of the terrace houses have been converted to shops. These are in William St.
This shop had the most gorgeous displays inside.
Later in the day I walked through the Domain for a view of the harbour.
